All my life I'd heard the old axiom about exploding soda in the freezer but last night I did it anyway. However I was super tired and fell asleep. About 4 hours later I woke up and the first thing I thought was "Oops, I left me Pepsi in the freezer.
It had never happened before...
I'll tell you though, after the initial pop-splatter, it ends looking more like a frozen erupting volcano... either way, cleaning the freezer at 1 am it's NOT what I wanted to be doing. All the while I'm hearing the voice of Martin Short's character -- Edward Grimley -- (who I CAN NOT stand) in my mind repeating "Well NOW I know what an exploded can of soda in the freezer looks like... I must say.
?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pics from the Huey Lewis show are posted on MySpace in the Pics section.
Let me start off by saying I'm so sorry that Huey cancelled after our opening set. I know you were all looking forward to it (as were we). I must say in his defense that we GOT SOAKED up there and we were dead center of the stage... and it was just getting worse after we got done playing.
That being said, YOU GUYS were an AWESOME crowd! It was honor and privilege to get play an hour of music for you and I hope that you'll come and see me around the Tampa Bay area and my other projects Betty's Not a Vitamin and BLAST.
Thanks again for making me feel great up there.
I also want to give a hearfelt thanks to my buddy and partner in crime tonight, Steve Lamagna. I could NOT have pulled it off tonight without you.
Thanks to Nance and Melissa for the video and camera work I'm going to start looking though as we speak.
Thanks you Alexis for the opportunity and your facility for the hospitality.
Now I am either going to get ripped or fall dead into bed... I haven't quite decided yet.
